Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised in an ethnically diverse family. Her parents are Malaysian as well as the Sri Lankan. The father of Jacqueline is Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Jacqueline is the youngest of two sisters and an older brother. Due to unrest in Lanka, her parents moved to Bahrain in the early 1980s. After finishing school in Bahrain she won an Scholarship at the University of Sydney to pursue the Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. She was also a student at in the Berlitz School of Languages which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 was crown in March 2006; she also took part in Miss Universe 2006 Following her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan businesses known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the mother of badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. When she was a teenager she participated in national badminton competitions, but quit the sport and became an artist. Padukone's native language is Konkani. She is Mangalorean in her origins. Her family ancestors are from the town of Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state of India. Prakash Padukone has retired as an internationally renowned badminton athlete and her mother is also a travel consultant.
